KOPU13 lähtee ensi viikolla Unkariin (eikä ole aprillipila!)

Hei kaikille! Kopu13:n Flory ja Tarja sekä Kopu12:n Hansu osallistuivat tänään keskiviikkona 1.4.2015 eli aprillipäivänä kulttuuri ja kielivalmennukseen. Aamun tunneilla käsittelimme miten esittelemme ja kerromme itsestämme ja kysymme asioita muilta, englanniksi ja suomeksi (ja hieman myös ranskaksi).Katsoimme myös majoitukseen ja matkustamiseen liittyviä asioita englanniksi ja suomeksi. terveisin Pekka, englannin opettaja

Hi! My name is Pauli and i’m 19 years old. I study at Keskuspuisto vocational college and some day i’ll become Media-assistant.

I live in Tuusula(30km from Helsinki) with my girlfriend Anni.

I understand English very well but i have difficulty spelling.

Kuten aina matkatessani, nään nyt jo viikkoja aiemmin painajaisia siitä, kuinka myöhästyn lennoilta, minulla ei olekaan lippua tai unohdan kamerani Suomeen, huomaten sen vasta yläilmoissa. Se on kai se tapa, jolla käsittelen matkaa ja sen tuomaa tietynlaista innostuksen sekaista jännitystä. Päivisinhän en oikeastaan lainkaan asiaa mieti.

Mitä sitten odotan matkalta? Uusia kokemuksia, jänniä nähtävyyksiä ja toki sitä sellaista yleistä reissausfiilistä. Sehän on ihan mahtavaa, aina kun pääsee tuon Helsingin rantoja piiskaavan lammikon taakse vähän erilaisiin maisemiin! Eipä yhtään lähtöinnostusta vähennä sekään, että Suomessa on lähipäivinä ollut ihan mahdottoman kurja ja harmaa sää. Sellainen, että jos olisi kissa, niin makoilisi mielellään uunin pankolla aurinkoa odottamassa.

Lentokentäthän on aina vähän pelottavia. On niin monta pistettä, jonka läpi pitää käyskennellä, ihan kuin jotkin lampaat, joita paimenkoirat ohjailevat haluamiinsa suuntiin. Mennä vain outona ihmismassana ympäriinsä, ja vaikka ne reitit olisikin mennyt läpi moneen kertaan, on silti aina vähän eksyksissä.

That is when I introduce myself

Hello everyone!

I've been called Anni, and I'm barely 19 years young. I wasted sixteen years of my life for living in Kuopio (city in eastern Finland), far away from everything. Then I realized I want to move someplace more civilized , and that's how I came to Helsinki. So, since I was 16, I've moved from Kuopio to Helsinki, then from Helsinki to Vantaa, and now we're moved from Vantaa to Tuusula with my boyfriend Pauli. Btw, he's also one of us, who's coming to Netherlands.

I'm not very sure about my English skills, but I really try my best and hope you understand at least half of what I'm trying to tell. Whatever, even if I can't express myself perfectly in other languages than Finnish, I've traveled about ten times in different European countries. Just not Netherlands yet.

Well, I don't exactly know what I'm supposed to tell, so I just write something you might like. Writing is one of my hobbies (maybe my favorite), and I kinda write about everything. And if you noticed, when I write, I really write a LOT. I also like photographing, but it's not one of my biggest skills. I still think it's more important to do something what makes you feel good, than what you are good in. When I do something I love, I do it with all my heart and all my feelings.

I love colors too! And yellow... If I could, I would stuff yellow everywhere. I really enjoy thinking and planning our new apartments decoration. And when that decor-thing is ready, I would love to have a dog living with us too. That dog would be lapponian herder, and the name would be Oodi. That's "ode" in Finnish. Really, dogs are great, and I find myself way more relaxed when I'm around dogs, than what I'm with people. They are kinda like my soul mates.

What about my personality... Well, I'm so sensitive, and I really worry about everything. I know I shouldn't, but I still do. It's one of my strength and same time one of my weaknesses. I'm also shy around people, who I don't know. It can be hard to try to understand me and my thoughts, but really, it's ok. I don't understand them either!

Minua pelottaa lentäminen ensimäistä kertaa mutta, haluan tutustua uusiin maihin missä en ole vielä käynyt ja siksi olen hakenyt vaihtoon.

Odotan matkalta että minulla on hauskaa ja saisin paljon mahtavia muistoja.

En malta odottaa, että lähdemme kohti Hollantia. Minua ei jännitä tämä matka ollenkaan. Kielitaito ei ole kovin hyvä, mutta sillä pärjää.

Rakastan matkustamista, joten tästä tulee taas uusi seikkailu ! En ole ennen matkustanut noin pitkäksi aikaa ulkomaille ilman äitiä, joten vähän jännittää :D Englannin taito ei ole mikään kovin hyvä, mutta onneksi se kehittyy matkan aikana.

Melissa / 17 / Vantaa

I'm that person who gets way too excited when it comes to all things beauty; makeup, hair- and skincare (Sorry.) My passion is creating things and I love all things artsy. You'll find me where the sun is shining.

I've lived my whole life in either Helsinki or Vantaa, both in the capital region which means I'm not used to living in small cities even when it comes down to only two weeks. I feel like the time in Zwolle is going to be something very different.

My free time is spent doing stuff like photography, watching hockey (mostly NHL), adventuring around the world, blogging and being and you know, as you do, crazy dog lady (to be honest i don't mind cats either). When it comes to school I'm studying photography, film & media at Keskuspuiston Ammattiopisto (Keskuspuisto Vocational College, located in the capital, Helsinki). I'm on my first year of the 3 and I'm really loving all the creativity around me as well as the atmosphere.

I decided to apply for this exchange student opportunity straight after I heard about it. I'm all about adventures and seeing the world so I'm in whenever it comes to travel. Even before this oppoturnity I've heard a lot about The Netherlands as a country and it has been on my list of "places to travel to" for a while now. I'm excited about meeting new people, seeing new places and getting to use my English again.

I can't wait until it's time to hop on the plane and go. 17 days left and counting!
